Future os Screens - Experience video
Capacitive screens has now become a commodity for touch screen devices. Screen technology is now taking the next leap and the coming years imagination is the only thing stopping us. We will soon have dual screens, malleable screens, screens built into wifi connected mirrors, desks or backside of gadgets clothed with e-ink screens, tactile feedback, color screens with great contrast in sunlight, holographics/stereoscopic screens, color e-ink touch screens, or screens actually knowing where they are in relation to other screens thanks to ultrasonic emitters and microphones.
We want to show some of these things in an "experience video", that shows a normal day in a couple of years when all these technologies are affordable enough to be used everywhere. This video is the result of our experiment with open innovation, read more about our experiment here. Big thanks to all the people from TAT and around the world who helped out and sometimes shared their ideas and sometimes gave us homework on our own ideas.

Excellent stuff!
Amazing!
wow, amazing!!
Sweden winw the World Cup 2014. Amazing!
Wow, really cool. I'm looking forward to seeing things like this live.
In what make-believe world would physics allow a screen to stretch like that?
And what would be the point of making double-sided multitouch screens?
Do I've to mention that transparents screens have been real for years, yet nobody uses them because of privacy issues? talk about old 90s future predictions...
But then again, the fact that the video insists all the time that sweeden somehow won the world cup (what, did all other teams got killed?) is BS enough to dismiss the rest of the video.
BTW, I do feel of this video being a ripoff of that Microsoft GUI concept from a year ago, except this time there are Macs.
I have to say, moderated impressed. The visuals were great but they don't show real world usage.
I mean, by 2014 we'll have phone that can stretch into tablets, but we still sill have to archaically click a "download to phone" button? Also, the UI, while pretty seems very stiff and unintuitive.
It just seems like it doesn't take

It just seems like it doesn't takes into account real world usage.
I see a lot of paper in that office-most notably a large notebook being drawn on with a pen.
Where are the screens to replace all that paper? It screams a massively missed opportunity to me.
Also noticed the girl brushing he teeth with a manual brush. Unrealistic if u ask me
Great concept! Have you thought of working with car manufacturers for on-board screen alerts? GPS navigator for destinations, personal customer use & emergency vehicles that present medical history ahead of hospital arrival? Perhaps mapping catastrophic fire areas & escape routes in disasters?
WOW totally awesome. I love touch screens very much specially apple's and Sony's touch screens.

Motorola EX115 Review
Why would you go to all the trouble of designing GREAT touch screens and keep a keyboard? Why not make that virtual as well? You already have a phne that can expand to the size of one...
